Is this thing on...? Testing... 1-2-3...
I'd never thought of writing a blog. But I constantly talk about food. And think about food. And make food which, much to my thirtysomething figure's chagrin, I inevitably end up eating. Friends kept suggesting that I start a blog, so after much hesitation (the interweb! aiigh!), I learned how to create this thing (a feat, I assure you), and now I'm broadcasting freely into the abyss.
Of course, let's not kid ourselves. I'm fully aware that this is most likely "just another food blog". Nevertheless, I'm choosing to forge ahead with the conviction (delusion?) that mine will be just another food blog that PEOPLE WILL ENJOY, dammit! So, with that in mind, here's a manifesto to help delineate the subject matter that I plan to focus on:
Life is short. And beautiful. Soooo here's my plan to make the most of it: don't eat (too much) crappy food; ease up on eating animals; make sure the Earth suffers as little as possible so it stays pretty for those who follow; and avoid complicated multi-step, multi-ingredient recipes that keep you in the kitchen for longer than you need to be - you've got too much living and eating to do. Finally, in striving to accomplish all this, never EVER compromise on taste. It's not worth putting on your hips if it doesn't do anything for your lips.
